Boxes! Cardboard boxes!

Life On Mars keeps getting better and better. Episode 3 kicked off with Hunt and Tyler in a speeding cop car in an alley, reversing the wrong way down a one-way street. Blocking their path, for some reason, was a carefully stacked pile of empty cardboard boxes.

Car. Alley. Boxes. Good lord! Surely they're not going to...? I think they are!

I sat up, screaming "BOXES! HIT THEM, HIT THEM!" - and when the car ploughed through them, I screamed "YESSSS!" It was so much fun, the episode could have ended right then, and I'd have been satisfied. If you don't understand the appeal of grimy 70's cars driving through piles of empty cardboard boxes in alleys, I can't really explain it. It's something primal. Of course it makes no sense - if they've driven into the alley, how did they get past the boxes already, why would someone leave a stack of empty boxes in the road in the first place - logic doesn't enter into it. If this doesn't fill your heart with joy, nothing can:

Car. Alley. Boxes. It doesn't get any better than that.

I totally agree. The only way it could have been better was if one of them had slid out of his open car window instead of opening the side door. Bliss.

Bloody buggering hell. That is a video... It starts off funny, but gets terrifying really quickly. Her poor family, they seemed fairly normal, and scared. I like how she takes the money anyway, though...

ok, this TV show geekdom is all very well... but what we wanna know is what s the deal with Christopher Smith and the writing credits - how did all that come about and how do you feel about it? Are you going to go to arbitration?

Anonymous: I'm working on a post about that, but it's getting quite long and complex, as I've gone into the whole process of what happens when you're contracted to write drafts, etc. I'm in the middle of some other things, and that's last on the list, unfortunately.

Hey, check out www.youtube.com

You can upload video for free there, and then they give you the code to stick into a blobber post and play it from there. I tested it out. It's pretty coooool.

i was carrying a pane of glass worth £50k down the street on Thursday with another fellow and was secretly hoping that a cyclist or rollerblader would pop out of nowhere and smash straight through it...

Martian: Cheers for that, it's really cool.

Jesus, do people actually carry panes of glass across roads?? Have they not seen any movies?? Classic glass-transportation mistake!
