New Torchwood 10-second teaser

The title says it all - there's a new teaser for season 3 of Torchwood, it's only 10 seconds, but is worth a look if you're waiting for any snippets. It's on the BBC website here, and is probably UK only, I'm afraid (but these things usually pop up elsewhere soon after). Update: It's now on YouTube. I can't link to it for legal reasons, but it's easy enough to find...

Here's an embedded version, to save you a click:

Ooh, spooky do's! Booga-booga-booga!

Mmmmm- bit of a 'Midwitch Cuckoos'vibe. Love the look of it. Can't wait!

Oooo, creepy. Thanks for sharing - can't wait! By the way, apologies for that capitalised message I left you on twitter. I acted on impulse. And capslock.

We appreciative but rather impatient fans have calculated either the 15th or 22nd of June as an airdate; so we're using that as a vague countdown!

(I'm not hoping or asking for an answer from you, by the way; I know your hands are probably tied on revealing anything.)

Thank you!

I see nothing, but have already caught trailers for TW on one of the myriad of channels over here. Can't remember which one (don't know which one I'm watching most of the time..)and didn't recognise the action so don't know which series they're promoting. Sigh. I'm a useless sack of shit, aren't I?

Maria,

Look around the net it's up for us non UK peeps. (ie tube of you)

But that little trailer is fantastic, and I think this whole series is going to freak me out.

*shakes the internet violently until something drops out.*

Ok, I've seen. I'm better now. That was appropriately chilling. Oh god, I can't wait. Must it always be a year between series? Wasn't part of the point of a shorter series to get it out faster?

I feel like I've already seen it. Pretty sure I remember thinking "Oh, Children of Earth, clever." xD

Did you write for that ep? :)

To everyone: I swear, I don't actually know when it airs, I'm not keeping secrets, I just don't know.

Rosby: Quite all right, understandable, I got a bit overexcited myself.

Sofluid: I wrote episode 3 of the new series. As for which episode that footage is from, you'll have to wait and see...

Tony: It's on YouTube now, so you can see it.

Hi, James.

Hope you won't mind a question, since you've written for Torchwood (and no, it's not 'When is it going to air?!?').

In series 1, Jack seemed to have a Kiss of Life (hereafter referred to as KoL) in a few episodes ("Day One", "Cyberwoman"), but in series 2, there was no sign that he did.

I was wondering if, in any information you were given about Captain Jack and the show, there was any mention of his seeming KoL? Like, for instance, does he have one? In what circumstances would it work, if so (ie., no unnecessary holes in the body of whoever he's kissing)?

Thanks for any enlightenment on this subject.

I'm looking forward to see the big event, whenever it is, and congratulations for writing one of this year's episodes as well as last year.

Anna: We weren't given any info about it, but I don't think it ever existed. From what I understood (as a viewer at the time) it was essentially a Jack version of CPR. The (spoilercharacter) had been hit hard, and was technically dead, although not severely damaged- if they'd left him, he'd have stayed dead, but Jack managed to get his heart and breathing going again. Just like in other shows, where they have people giving mouth to mouth and banging on the chest - it's the same thing. Jack was able to do it without the chest compression etc, because he's got the whole immortal thing going on and is a bit special... At least, that's what I thought, anyway. Haven't rewatched that one since, so I could be wrong.
